The only comprehensive legal services program in our service area, MALS offers a variety of services. Since 1970, MALS has been committed to equal justice for all people, helping children families and individuals solve problems that affect their basic needs. MALS comes to the aid of nearly 8,000 people in distress each year. MALS Attorneys do not accept fees for their services, including legal representation. MALS does not handle criminal cases, class action lawsuits or fee generating cases such as personal injury, worker's compensation or criminal victim's injury compensation, among others. Financial Contributions can be made to Memphis Area Legal Services, Inc,. All contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code
